Mr. Ioannis Asproloupos holds a master’s degree in "Engineering of Mobile & Pervasive Computing Systems" as well as a university degree in Informatics from Hellenic Open University (HOU).
After a fourteen-year career as an analyst & developer in the private sector, he stepped into the public sector by joining IDIKA SA in 2009. Serving in the e-Prescription department, he coordinates the National Contact Point for e-Health (NCPeH) having gained experience from its pilot project "So Health" (Smart Open Internet Services for Health).
Founder of UbiSwim.org, he created in 2015 an innovative “3-tier pervasive computing system for monitoring and improving swimmers' personal fitness & wellness” by incorporating web, mobile & wearable technologies while designing and implementing sensor-based motion detection algorithms.
Since 2013 he is designated as the technical manager of the RPLTL scientific journal website at HOU. Having started in 1995, he has dealt with desktop & web apps development, SEO, SEM, ΙΤ consulting, ISO QMS administration while having teaching experience in CS.
His interest is focused on Ubiquitous/Pervasive, Mobile, Wearable, Web & Interoperability technologies, especially in the field of e-Health.
