Κωνσταντίνος ΧΑΛΚΙΑΣ

Konstantinos S. Chalkias, born in Athens in 1968, graduated from the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1994 and received his title of a medical specialist as an Internist in 2003. Since then, he has been serving as Scientific Responsible and Head of the Department of Internal Medicine of “Athinaiki” Private Clinic in Athens, Greece, as well as a medical practitioner in Family Practice, providing medical care for private individuals.

In parallel to his clinical activities, he has also worked as a medical expert in the Greek Health Reform Support Program (2014-2015), and, consequently, participated in the Scientific and Management support of the Greek DRG Institute (ever since it was founded in 2014), currently serving as an executive member of its Management Board. He has carried out numerous consultation and educational activities in either national or international projects and conferences, in the fields of Medical Classifications, Medical Auditing and Arbitrage, and DRG System development.
